Are Rolex watches still selling above retail?

Some are. Many aren’t.

During the extraordinary watch market period around 2021–2022, demand for certain Rolex watches greatly exceeded available supply, and secondary-market prices rose dramatically.

That market subsequently corrected.

Today, you cannot simply say:

“It’s a Rolex, therefore it’s worth more than retail.”

The exact reference matters.

Certain highly desirable professional/sports models can command significant secondary-market premiums, while other Rolex configurations may trade around or below retail.
